1. Who you are contracting with

overlap is operated by overlap ("we", "us"). These terms form the agreement between you and us for use of the overlap service. Questions: support@overlap-ai.com.

2. The service

overlap is an MCP server your AI assistant connects to. You submit text describing what you are working on; we compare it with other requests and, where two people both accept, introduce you to each other. Contact details are only revealed after mutual acceptance.

3. Acceptance

By creating an account, connecting overlap to an AI assistant, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you use overlap on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

4. Minimum age

overlap is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account or to use the service through an AI assistant. overlap introduces people to each other for private conversations about difficult things, and that is not a place for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the match requests on it.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use overlap for any unlawful purpose;
• submit fraudulent, spam, harassing, or deliberately misleading topics;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or confidentiality obligations;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service — including malware, probing, automated scraping, or attempts to circumvent rate or plan limits;
• use introductions for cold outbound marketing or to build and sell contact lists.

You are responsible for what you submit and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Do not submit confidential information you are not free to share.

6. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the overlap service, its software, documentation, and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service under your selected plan. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute it. You keep ownership of the content you submit and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to operate the service.

7. Availability

We do not guarantee that overlap will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no promise that any request will result in a match. To the fullest extent permitted by law, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.

8. Payment and subscriptions

overlap is currently free to use. We are not selling paid plans at this time and we do not collect payment details anywhere in the product. If we introduce paid plans, we will publish the pricing, billing interval, and the payment provider used before any charge can be made, and paid plans will be billed in advance and cancellable at any time with access until the end of the paid period. 9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your active requests are withdrawn and your data is deleted or anonymised in line with our privacy notice.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your requests or unlawful use of the service.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page.
